Honeysuckles are arching shrubs or twining vines native to Northern Hemisphere. Out of about 180 species of honeysuckles, China has the greatest diversity where about 100species occur. Europe and North America have only about 20 native species of honeysuckles. Evergreen trumpet honeysuckle is the most popular species in North America. Flowers of trumpet honeysuckles are scarlet from outside and orange from inside. Tartarian honeysuckle is a large shrub common to Asia, which bears rosy-white flowers in early spring.
